Before The Foundation – The Parable Of The Talents Part 5
The Bible contains truths that bend our natural mind. It can be frustrating to think about the fact that Jesus was apart of the creation, in the beginning, He existed in eternity before He ever came to the earth as a man. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit have no beginning, they have always been and always will be. Jesus is the exact expression of God in the earth, there is no greater example. When Jesus walked the earth He would often teach people in parables, there is a passage of Scripture found in Matthew 13:34, 35 that says, “All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:” “I will open My mouth in parables: I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world.” In this series, we will discover truths that have existed before time that will transform our present life as we apply them.
Part 5 – Our bodies are a gift from God, they are a talent given that allows us to function in the earth as His hands and feet. We have a responsibility when it comes to our bodies to possess them, to be master of them and make them slaves of righteousness. As believers, if our flesh is left unchecked it will produce death in our lives Romans 8:12,13. Living a carnal or flesh ruled life does not stop God from loving you, it does not please God or bring pleasure to Him because it is not of faith. Living a carnal or body ruled life does not change God’s desire toward you, but it does have an effect on the manifestation of God’s goodness in our lives. Our righteousness is perfect, but our faith is not, it is growing and needs development.
