| Ministering Spirits – Part 6

Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? NKJV

One of the great provisions of God for His church is the ministry of angels.  In this series, we are going to explore the Scriptures concerning this ministry.  Angels and their Kingdom activity are mentioned through the Old Testament and the New Testament.  Our knowledge (experience) and faith will grow as we look to the Scriptures to educate us in this study.

• It is of utmost importance that believers understand the ministry of angels in their behalf, that their faith might be encouraged regarding this gracious provision God has made for them.  It is surprising to find a number of commentators expressing their belief that the ministry of angels to men ceased at the Ascension of Christ, not to be resumed until His Return to earth.  This is difficult to understand in relation to Hebrews 1:14 where we are told: “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”  This certainly applies to believers today.  (Foundations Of Pentecostal Theology, Page 474)

Part 6 – The angels of heaven minister on earth by Jacobs ladder.  In the New Testament we see that this ladder in Jesus Christ or the Word of God.  In tonight’s message we discuss how angels are voice-activated as revealed in psalms 103.  Angels respond to the children of God speaking the promises of the covenant in the authority of Jesus’ name.
