Rooted (Depth Of Character) Part 5

John 15:1-“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.  2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.  NKJV

Heb 12:11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.  NKJV

In our series entitled “Rooted,” we are going to be taking a journey through the Scripture on what it means to be pruned by the Lord.  The Lord does not prune our lives to hurt us but rather to promote the increase of the fruit we produce for His Kingdom while here on earth.  In this series, we are going to look at the importance of correction in our lives and the depth of character that it will produce.  Come join us and get ready to increase in the peaceable fruit of righteousness.

Part 5 – We are continuing to add to our faith.  In this message, Pastor, Sean talks about adding Self- Control and patience.  Self-Control is defined as temperance or continuance, or strength.  Patience is defined as cheerful endurance, steadfast waiting, and sustaining.  2 Peter 1:10 says, “Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.”  Continue to add to your faith.
