Subject: Knowing your Purpose!
Knowing your purpose
You are equipped with gifts, ideas, abilities and talents for a purpose. There is a reason why you exist. Once you recognize your purpose you begin to see why you have been equipped the way you are.
- When you know what your purpose in life is this will change the way you do things.
- A purpose will motivate you.
- A purpose will keep your priorities straight.
- A purpose will help you want to develop your potential.
- A purpose will give you the power to live in the present.
- A purpose will help you evaluate your progress.
When you know your purpose you will not let the negative circumstances of this life stop you from accomplishing your purpose. Your purpose is the object toward which you strive for, the reason for why you exist. Your purpose is only found in Jesus.
Colossians 3:1-3 (New Living Translation) Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God’s right hand in the place of honor and power. Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. For you died when Christ died, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:1-3 (The Message) So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ–that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective. Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life–even though invisible to spectators–is with Christ in God. He is your life.
When you know your purpose you are on the road to success.
Success is knowing your purpose in life!
